The Central England Business Angels “no win no fee” service package:
Raising funding is a difficult activity for all Entrepreneurs. It causes the SME Manager to take their eye off of the daily running of the company, and effects both employees and often families. The process can take up to 6 very intense months. For this reason, the Central England Business Angels principals realise the importance of assuring the company is truly Investor Ready prior to approaching funders.
The Central England Business Angels No Win No Fee service package is designed to provide bespoke and personal one to one attention to every SME who registers with Central England Business Angels. This service should take no longer than 20 hours and is monitored via a strick time recording programme. Should more than 20 hours be required, a fee of £50 per hour will be charged to the SME.
The No Win No Fee complimentary service package includes:
- A sophisticated and secure registration process that becomes a point of communictation between the SME / CEBA / Investors / CEBA Syndicate clubs
- An in-depth and objective appraisal of the Business Plan
- An interview with each applying SME to discuss the investibility of the Business Plan and the decision by Central England Business Angels to either take on the company or to sign post the company to other sources
- Discussions on all funding options and packaged funding
- Marketing the proposition to the entire Investor data base
- Managing and qualifying all Investor enquires
- Arrange and attend, with the SME, one-to-one meetings with interested Investors
- Mentor the SME throughout Investor discussions
- Apply to HM Revenue and Customs for EIS Advanced Assurance
- Oversee the application for EIS tax relief post funding agreement
- Introduction to the appropriate professionals for a cost effective completion process
Central England Business Angels Fee Schedule:
- A success fee of 6% on raising Business Angel investment
- A 3% equity fee on all monies raised via a Regional Development Venture Capital Fund
- A brokerage fee of up to 3% for successful introduction to an alternative funding source
- There will be a charge of 6% on the value (assessed by Central England Business Angels) on services provided by an Angel who is not making a cash investment
- Presentation and coaching charges to syndicate investors and /or presentation events: £300
- Post Funding bespoke service: £200 per month, 12 month minimum requirement
- Preparation of an "Investor Information Pack", which will include (inter alia) information relevant for inspection by investors, such as valuation, exit strategy, EIS Advanced Assurance, business plan, marketing plan, warranty questionnaire, etc - £250
- Retainer to raise second round funding, whether private equity or venture capital - £250 per month for maximum of 6 months
- All fees bear VAT at the standard rate
- On entering the Central England Business Angels service, the SME will allow a period of 3 months exclusivity to Central England Business Angels to market and promote the opportunity
