CEBA's latest Investments

Whew, it's been a VERY busy couple of months! We are pleased to announce yet another CEBA completion into Forward Fuels of £100K Angel contribution! Forward Fuels is a brash collecting company who then sells on the brash to energy suppliers.  We have also had an additional investment into Genesis Technology, a new Broad Band techology, of £15K, bringing our total contribution into Genesis to £110K Angel investment. We have also completed an investment into Thincats, a new on-line loan facility. That brings our total completions since the start of the first quarter of this year to 6, with a total Angel contribution of £485,000!!!!! Wow! We need a holiday! We couldn't have achieved this without the support of our Angels, and the excellent companies that have trusted us to generate funding. Thank you to all,

CEBA's Latest Investments

CEBA is pleased to announce our latest investments! We were successful in attaining second round funding for KOBUS, an industrial pipe pulling process designed to cost effectively replace undergound pipes. We raised £100K in Angel investment for the second round, bringing our total Angel investment to £200K.

We have also had additional investment into Genesis Technology, a Broad Band delivery product that does not require underground cables. This brings our total Angel investment into Genesis to £95K. As an aside, this last investment was the first one for the investor, moving him from "virgin" to "experienced". Genesis is still open for first round funding.

This brings our total investments to 4 since the begining of April 2010. Watch this space, we expect to announce two additional completions before the end of July.

The SME challenge!

NOW is absolutely the right time for SME's to come into the funding market! Investors are looking for ways to increase the value of their investments and are turning to early stage Business Angel investing to increase returns. The "perfect" investee would be a company with some trading histroy yet still early stage of development. It would be a company that would benefit from the expert business acumen of an Angel. Investor Academy Results

We are pleased to say the Investor Academy held on the 29th June at Wright Hassall Solicitors was a great success! The session on EIS and implications resulting from the budget generated a lively discussion. Cost effective legal assistance at point of completion was covered and Wright Hassall supplied examples of standard completion documents. Two "serial" investors shared their stories of success.....and failures....and each mentioned that the number one reason for a failed investment was lack of communication with the investee company. CEBA talked about the bespoke Post Funding programe we run to prevent this from happening and offered this support to the investors present. CEBA also provided information on our 16 current opportunites. If you would like any information emailed to you from this event please let us know.
